Last month we got some requests for more hosting dates and times. This month we're giving it to you, or rather, you give it to yourselves. As always, we need your participation!
This month Santa in Chains will have more event dates and times so that it is easier to participate. We are currently looking for hosts in October. Here are the duties of participants:
Host: The person who plans the event. This person is anonymous to the guest until they actually meet. If you'd like to be a host, please contact Teri Walker at terichica@gmail.com. Provide information on the date, time, duration, location, cost and proper attire for the event. This is a first come, first served basis so let Teri know soon! We will all hosts this month; there is no limit.
Guest: The person who meets the host at the event. This person is anonymous to the host. If you want to participate as a guest, keep an eye out for e-mails from CitC, look on Facebook or check out the blog for available event dates. Then tell the moderator (this month it's Teri, contact her terichica@gmail.com) which event you would like.
If you've been paired with a host or a guest, Teri will let you know ASAP.

I can report that I met an anonymous CitC community member last week and had a wonderful lunch! I have known Michael Connell as a piano student and casual buddy for the past year. Last Tuesday I got to know him better and had a really nice time talking with him one-on-one. I got to hear some of his story, he got to hear some of mine. It was a wonderful opportunity to spend some quality time with someone out of my immediate circle that is rarely available to me during the rush of the week. I would highly recommend participating in Santa In Chains! It can only bring us closer as a community and enhance our journey together as a church.
